Each piece begins with an idea, And the clay usually has a few ideas of its own. What emerges is shaped by hand, guided by curiosity, and finished with equal parts intention and surprise. Some pieces become daily companions. Others insist on becoming art.
The teapot that had other plans
Handcrafted from start to finish. My first teapot began as a functional form and slowly wandered into sculpture. The oversized lid, carved details, and unexpected silhouette earned it the nickname Dumbo. It may not follow all the rules, but it's a unique one of a kind art form that surprises and delights, a true testament to creativity and individuality.

Berry Bowl Set
Summer in a bowl
Created for slow breakfasts, fresh berries, and conversations that last longer than planned. The deep blues emerged unexpectedly during firing and reminded me of blueberries gathered straight from the garden, while each hand-shaped cup carries subtle variations that make the set entirely unique.
Inspired by gardens, seasons, color, and the occasional surprise waiting inside the kiln.

Made for slow mornings
Its texture was inspired by a stone I picked up at Muir Beach, pressed into clay and transformed into a pattern that feels both familiar and grounding. Perfect for coffee, tea, oatmeal, soup, and those rare moments when there is nowhere else to be, despite a long list of things still waiting to be done.
No two are alike. A form may return, but the conversation between clay, glaze, fire and time never repeats itself.
